Pamela Ahern
Pam Ahern was raised in Tifton, Georgia, and came to Atlanta with her husband in 1989, when she began studying early childhood education and taught pre-school. Pam and her family were residents of Cabbagetown for 14 years, where she helped start the Cabbagetown Neighborhood Improvement Association and became a part of early efforts to revive the neighborhood.
Pam’s twin loves of teaching and revitalizing the city for her children and students led her toward real estate when she began matching buyers to neglected houses that needed them. Her passion became a new career: “I never look at it as sales, ever. I can’t make someone fall in love with something they don’t want and I can’t sell something that no one would fall in love with.”
Pam Ahern has since garnered 15 years of real estate experience in the Intown Atlanta market. Currently the broker/owner of Area Atlanta Real Estate, LLC, she was voted one of Atlanta’s Top Realtors by Atlanta magazine in 2004. Pam has also mentored other agents and served on an Agent Leadership Council for six years.
For Pam, real estate is about loving the four walls of the home you’re in and the world that’s right outside your front door. It’s also about community and building a family out of friends and neighbors.
