Shelby came to Atlanta three years ago from Washington, D.C., where she did $4 million in sales during her first six months in that real estate market. During her time in Atlanta, she has focused on young professionals and Emory relocations. Shelby’s background has also made her a great resource for first-time homebuyers, who can rely on her expertise to move quickly through the new qualifying rules for home financing.
Because of her investment acumen, Shelby can navigate financial waters in which other agents aren’t comfortable. Whether it’s answering questions on tax credits or the restructured mortgage industry, Shelby is a seasoned banking pro who sees each client as an investor in need of the perfect home and a good return on their purchase.
“When I’m looking at a property for a buyer to purchase, I’m looking at the viability of the investment, just as I would if you asked me to invest a large portion of your life savings in stocks, bonds and mutual funds,” Shelby says.
Furthering her financial knowledge, Shelby has recently joined SunTrust Bank, where she can offer Area Atlanta Real Estate clients valuable input from the mortgage consultants she’ll be working with.
Most of all, Shelby wants the work she does with clients to be fun. “I lead with a sense of humor and don’t take myself or anyone else too seriously,” she says.
